JARNOT AEROSPACE LEADERSHIP (JAC Knows Aviation): Chuck Jarnot, a retired US Army Lieutenant Colonel and Master Aviator founded JAC in 2005. Chuck is a combat veteran of Afghanistan and was awarded the Bronze Star for his role in the Battle of Anaconda in March of 2002. His military career included the leadership experience of three companies and one battalion task force command, design and development of new aerospace mission equipment packages, constructing new innovative aviation training programs and extensive travel throughout Europe, Asia and the Middle East. Chuck’s education includes a Bachelor’s Degree from Western Michigan University in Aviation Technology with a emphasis in Aircraft Maintenance, a Master’s Degree from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University in Aerospace Operations and a second Master’s Degree from the U.S. Army’s Command and General Staff College with a Thesis on Airmechanization. He served as an Aeroscout, Attack and Lift helicopter pilot as well as an instructor pilot. His field experiences were primarily with the 101st Airborne Screaming Eagle Division and served as an aviation observer at the National Training Center (NTC) in the Mojavi Desert for 28 rotations. A consummate “Ideas Guy” Chuck has published articles in the Army Aviation Association of America Magazine, Infantry Magazine, Military Review and AUSA Army Magazine. He co-authored a book “Air Mech Strike” on new aviation based maneuver warfare concepts. Chuck Jarnot is married to the former Paula J. Barczewski and has four children, Walter, Catherine, Stuart and Charles Elijah.
